Linxon is currently seeking a highly motivated Quality Assurance and Control Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality across EPC and substation projects. The Quality Assurance and Control Engineer will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining quality management systems to drive excellence throughout all phases of project delivery.

What will you do?

Responsibilities:

  • Quality Management Systems:
    • Project leader in the developing, implementing and maintaining robust quality management systems, project control program (PCP) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), specifically tailored to the unique requirements of EPC and substation projects.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
  • Quality Planning:
    • Develop and execute detailed quality plans for EPC and substation projects, outlining key quality control activities and milestones.
    • Align quality assurance processes with project objectives and client expectations.
    • Coordinate & monitor required inspections day-to-day activities to ensure alignment with contract specifications and quality standards. Liaise with appropriate disciplines and customer to support quality surveillance. Intervene when the quality of work is at risk or compromised and escalate accordingly.
  • Control, Inspections and Audits:
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with Linxon's quality standards, client requirements and industry regulations in the context of EPC and substation projects.
    • Collaborate with project teams to address any non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
    • Supervise all site contractors & sub-contractors to ensure on-site activities follow all mandatory quality deliverables including project control program (PCP), Pre-inspections requirement, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), test records.
    • Being in constant contact with the site team including 3rd party and travel to the sites on regular basis as per project needs.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and comprehensive quality documentation, including inspection reports, test records, complete documented red-markups from sites and non-conformance reports related to projects.
    • Generate timely and informative quality reports for project stakeholders.
    • Extra emphasis on collecting accurate and complete documented red-markups and required documentation.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in quality assurance and control activities, especially in the context of substation projects.
    • Implement best practices to enhance the overall quality management process for diverse energy projects.
  • Training and Collaboration:
    • Provide training on quality processes and standards to project teams, promoting a culture of quality consciousness within the unique requirements of substation projects.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality-related challenges and ensure timely project delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management or a related field.
  • Proven experience in quality assurance and control within the construction, engineering or energy industry, with a specific focus on substation projects.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and quality management principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good IT skills, e.g. SharePoint, Document Management system and project collaboration tools
