We are seeking a Senior Resident Engineer (Infrastructure – Site Operations)

Job Summary: AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly experienced Senior Resident Engineer with over 20 + years of proven on-site experience, specializing in Metro and Railways projects within the infrastructure sector. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a track record of successfully managing complex construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all construction activities related to Metro and Railways projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Provide strategic guidance and technical support to project teams, contractors, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively to achieve timely completion and delivery within established parameters.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor progress, quality of work, and compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Resolve technical issues, conflicts, and challenges that may arise during construction, implementing effective solutions to minimize disruptions.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to address concerns, provide project updates, and maintain positive relationships.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and site staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Professional accreditation or licensure as a Civil Engineer is advantageous.
  • Extensive hands-on experience (20+ years) as a Resident Engineer or similar role in Metro and Railways projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, technical specifications, and industry best practices related to transportation infrastructure.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive project success.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in preparing reports, technical documents, and presentations.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) for scheduling and resource management.
  • Familiarity with UAE construction regulations, codes, and standards is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize tasks, and make informed decisions to achieve project objectives.
