We are looking for Assistant Engineer to Lead Design Engineer - Overhead Line Electrification (OLE) to join our team. This role will be based at our AtkinsRéalis office in Bangalore.

How will you contribute to the team?

Essential requirements:

  • Good understanding of Network Rail, Railway Group standards, British Standards and Safety principles.
  • Experience of managing interfaces with other railway engineering disciplines under supervision.
  • Ability to determine appropriate basic input data prior to commencement of work.
  • Able to make sound engineering judgements.
  • Fully proficient in OLE analysis & design using appropriate software and able to prepare calculations for more complex designs under supervision.
  • Offer new ideas to improve solutions and processes.
  • Capable of producing clear sketch details for CAD drafting or communication purposes.
  • Responsible for managing small team of technicians and junior technicians.

What will you contribute?

  • You will be part of an established transport modelling team developing and applying computer-based transport models (comprising highway and public transport / transit models) using state-of-the-art transport modelling software supported by Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tools.

You will be part of a team responsible for the technical development of transport modelling projects comprising:

  • Technical development of project tasks, and development of tools and processes.
  • Development and checking of economic and business case models, reports and analyses including quality and delivery to timescales.
  • Apply AtkinsRéalis Quality, Safety & Environmental (QSE) standards and Business Management System (BMS).

As part of a team, you will also be responsible for reporting progress and output quality, as well as developing business improvement initiatives with your line manager.
