Atkins Infrastructure business are looking to appoint an Associate (Higher and Further Education sectors focus) who is looking to further develop their career in a forward-thinking Building Design practice. The role will be based in our London or Epsom office. 

General
Market lead in Higher and Further Education sectors with a leading role in work-winning (single discipline and multi discipline) and service delivery.
Focus on London and South East England with links to Atkins HE/FE network across offices in the UK
Location - London or Epsom
Required to lead single discipline bids (MEP engineering and specialists) where other consultancies provide architecture and/or structural engineering services.
Required to support multidisciplinary bids, normally led by Atkins’ architects
Technical Leadership  and oversight of HE/FE projects 
Reporting to Atkins’ national education lead, Helen Groves (architect based in Bristol) and MEP Engineering Line Manager (depending on location).
 
Essential
Experience in the design of HE and FE buildings, both new build and refurbishment, including minor works
Experience of working for end-clients (e.g. Higher Education Institutions and Further Education Colleges))
Experience of working for D&B Contractors on HE/FE projects
Detailed knowledge of relevant standards and guidance (e.g. Life Sciences Laboratories and Clean Rooms) 
Recent experience of procurement of frameworks and call-offs
Record of successful work-winning and delivery of HE/FE projects  
 
Personal Attributes
Commercial awareness in HE/FE market/sub-markets
Marketing skills (MEP Engineering and multidisciplinary)
Stakeholder management, including academic communities 
Self-motivated and able to drive pipeline of opportunities
