Start with us and shape your world

The digital revolution is unfolding across our continent, and we have a need for innovation more than ever before. From connecting communities, to building economy-boosting infrastructure, to protecting our natural heritage – AtkinsRéalis is leading the change. Whether you’re just out of school, graduating from university, or starting out in engineering – join us to launch your dream career.

Apprenticeship program

Start working right away while enjoying formal learning and on-the-job training. To become a AtkinsRéalis Apprentice, you’ll need to meet our minimum academic standard. Your apprenticeship will last between 30 to 48 months, depending on the apprentice and the specific trade.

We have trained riggers, electricians, boilermakers, mechanical fitters, and welders who are making a difference on projects across Africa. Depending on project requirements, many apprentices advance into our organization. So once you’ve qualified, apply for a place on our team.

Candidate engineer development program (CEDP)

Join AtkinsRéalis as a newly appointed engineer and enter a program designed to help you succeed. We’ve earmarked you as vital to the successful design and execution of our projects – as well as for future middle and senior management positions. So the CEDP will enable you to:

  • Take on your roles with confidence
  • Master AtkinsRéalis ’s processes and services
  • Develop future leadership skills
  • Grow your skills and insights across units and functions
  • Foster AtkinsRéalis values and culture

The CEDP will also help you develop skills towards your professional registration, including:

  • Technical work related to our projects
  • Project work, or resource management of material, machinery and finances, etc.
  • Project and people management

Graduate engineering development program (GEDP)

The GEDP has been developed specifically for Field Engineers in the business area of Shutdown Management and Maintenance. We recognize the key role you play when it comes to successfully executing projects – not to mention your potential to become a future leader in our organization. So the GEDP is focused on helping you hone your business and technical skills, while attaining professional registration. You’ll enjoy practical experience on a rotational work placement, formal in-house tuition and relevant external training.
