We are looking for a talented Bid Manager to join our Work Winning team in Dubai. The successful candidate will have experience in the Middle East Property Sector, be enthusiastic and organised, and have the ability to drive the bid process from capture stage to project appointment. They will possess strong people leadership skills and have the ability to work under time pressure and deadlines.

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the effective use of the Win Work (WW) process and tools, for all bids, to optimize the opportunity of winning
  • Manages bid-team resources and prioritisation
  • Facilitate and understand our win strategy and drive this into the bid
  • Facilitate workshops/meetings featured in the WW process
  • Support, providing direction, challenge and motivation to the bid team
  • Manage the team’s input into client deliverables and bid timeline
  • Manage and maintain all bid documents and send them to the appropriate functions for response/review/signature
  • Ensure bid governance is actioned at the relevant stage in the bid process
  • Identify and share lessons learned as inputs to the continuous improvement of the WW process and tools

 

Atkins has been established in the Gulf for over 40 years, having first carried out design and supervision commissions in the Gulf area in 1967. The regional head office (Dubai) was established in 1979.

 

We provide a full range of design, engineering and project management services for buildings, transportation and other infrastructure programmes.

 

Atkins in the Middle East now employs around 2,000 staff serving Gulf clients across all market sectors from offices in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Kuwait City, Manama, Muscat, Riyadh, and Sharjah.



Essential Requirements

  • Education level Degree or equivalent, preferably in Marketing or Architecture.
  • Minimum required level of previous experience of 6 years working in a Work Winning / Bid management position in the Middle East Property Sector.
  • Understanding and application of corporate governance including risk profile, cash-flow scope and strategy.
  • Miller Heiman/Shipley Bid Management trained an advantage.
  • Advanced skills in Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat InDesign.
  • People leadership, facilitation, motivation and communication skills.
  • Logical and structured approach, strong organisational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and work to strict deadlines.
  • Quickly able to grasp overall competitive strategy and the details of how to implement it.
