Compliance Manager - F&G PMC Bangalore

Responsibilities
 
  • Accountable to the project for all relevant compliance applicable on construction project as per Indian legislations.
  • Assist PMC/PMT Teams in activities to ensure that project meet contract specifications.
  • Apply relevant technical and safety standards applicable in the project.
  • Undertake as required the role of package manager of construction teams ensuring an integrated approach is undertaken in line with company and industry standards.
  • Initiate and undertake necessary surveillance as required to ensure safety and quality processes are maintained and to identify improvements.
  • Co-ordinate, manage and where competent undertake review and identify compliance issues.
  • Assist in the establishment and maintenance of required risk assessments and other safety documentation to ensure and maintain the group’s site safety requirement.
  • Assist in the establishment and maintenance of the training development strategy for the group and individual staff, taking into consideration business objectives.
  • Initiate and maintain processes to ensure compliance with group, industry & company standards, identifying gaps in compliances to Senior Management
  • Monitoring of contractor’s compliance as per BOCW, CLRA, state insurance, WC Act, ISMW, Gratuity, Bonus,EPF, ESIC, prevention of child labour, POSH, MW Act,  PE Etc…
  • Support third party auditors on project during monthly statutory audit and ensure closer report from contractor on time.
  • Report on status of statutory compliance against above laws.
  • Support in providing and compliance documents as and when required
  • Frequent tracking of compliances, issue NCR and raising same to client in case if found any non-compliance.

    Requirements
  • Having good knowledge in all applicable law in construction industry in India
  • Construction industry background is mandatory
  • Engineering knowledge and experience of multi discipline construction/installation and associated rules and regulations
  • Bachelors or Advanced Diploma in Legal desired
  • Certificated Safety Management Course or equivalent
  • Understanding of Health & safety law and its application in Civil Construction
  • Earlier working or associating in PMCs will be desired.
  • Motivator and leader with strong sense of responsibility.
  • Organise, plan and brief as necessary, all staff and sub-contract activities as necessary
  • Develop project reports as required and provide necessary information for reports
  • Ability to communicate effectively with client, the workforce and other staff managers
  • Computer literacy is essential for the position.
