Cost Manager

Our Phoenix team is growing! If you want to be a part of a successful global organization and have at least 5 years of experience with analyzing numbers, forecasting and report generation, we would like to connect with you. The cost controller will be responsible for all stages of the project management lifecycle with an emphasis on scope, schedule and budget. This is an internal Faithful+Gould position with robust benefits. This position sits at our client site in Phoenix, AZ  and requires a daily commute. Responsibilities

-Prepares and issues periodic cost reports and program metrics to senior technical staff.

-Gathers, reviews and analyzes and evaluates operational metrics for healthy execution against baseline plan, scope and budget

-Provides cost management services including invoice validation, cost forecasting and reporting, change management, close out administration
-Reviews the cash flow and issues to senior technical staff.
-With minimal supervision, reviews all change orders in accordance with the client’s approval process.
-Provides procurement services for the client, where applicable, for construction and engineering services, including preparing RFP and bid analysis.

-Reporting on variances after updating actuals

-Create purchase requisitions for changes in work

- Manage, train and oversee the work activity and product of the project management system users assigned to the project.

      

Requirements

-Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business
-5 years’ of relevant experience
-Must have strong cost management skills, as well as the communication skills necessary to interface with external stakeholders, suppliers, the management team and other organizations within client organizations.
-Must have experience in developing budgets and cash flows.
-Experience in utilities (transmission, distribution, substation), industrial, refinery, and/or pharmaceuticals is preferred.
-Must be highly articulate, have clear and analytical approach to problem solving, and strong decision making abilities. Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
-Project Management Professional (PMP) or AACE’s Certified Cost Professions (CCP) certification preferred.
-Must thoroughly understand and utilize Information Technology in the performance of work including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office 365.

 

- Must have excellent skills in utilizing MS Excel (e.g. pivot tables, lookup tables, etc.).
