This position is responsible for building and installing instrumentation and tubing for packages, also responsible for maintenance, repair, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of instrumentation equipment.  
Duties and Responsibilities
•    Work on instrumentation equipment associated with plant processing equipment.
•    Troubleshoot and repair compressor panel control wiring and associates devices.
•    Read and understand P&ID’s (symbols, tags and instrument lines), wiring diagrams and instrument loop drawings.
•    Maintain and work on different types of control valves and transmitters.
•    Follow all company safety procedures including lockout/tag out procedures.
•    Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit using such tools as a hacksaw, pipe threader, rules and conduit benders.
•    Pulls wiring through wiring raceway, assisted by helper.
•    Wire installation of stripping insulation from terminal leads with knife or pliers, twisting or soldering wires together and applying tape or terminal caps.
•    Test continuity of circuit to insure electrical compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments such as ohmmeter, battery and buzzer and oscilloscope.
•    Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
•    Bend and work with 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 inch stainless tubing.
•    Installs control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays and circuit- breaker panels, and fastens in place with screws or bolts using hand or power tools. 
•    Load, transport and unload tools, equipment and supplies. 
•    Assist in lifting, positioning and securing of material and work pieces during installation. 
•    Perform minor maintenance of cleaning activities of tools and equipment. 
•    Perform other duties as required.

Job Requirements
•    Understand how to read and translate the information found within all schematic wiring P&ID’s process diagrams and experience with applicable codes and standards.
•    Proven organizational skills.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills required.
•    Strong interpersonal skills.
•    Proven problem solver, results focused, self-motivated.
•    Ability to work at heights.
•    Must wear PPE while in shop area.
•    Must be able to work under pressure.
•    Must be able to work individually and in a team.
•    Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements listed below in harsh and/or stressful conditions. 
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
•    Minimum 3 year experience as an Instrumentation Technician - within gas processing preferred
•    Knowledge of PLC’s and control systems
•    Proven ability to troubleshoot complex control systems and to maintain instrument systems

Physical Requirements
•    Ability to lift at least 50 pounds. 
•    Ability to reach with arms and use tools above/over the head.
•    Ability to perform repetitive movements.
•    Ability to use hands to grasp.
•    Ability to stand (for extended periods of time), walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl and twist.
•    Ability to sit, balance and climb ladders, scaffolds and other objects.
•    Ability to carry tools.
•    Ability to move in and around confined and cluttered places and uneven areas.
•    Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift in all weather and temperature extremes.
•    Ability to distinguish colors.
•    Vision adequate to perform all required tasks.
