Job Summary:

The Network Security Engineer is expected to have high level technical expertise and can demonstrate 6+ years of progressive experience in large enterprise and involved predominantly in firewalls, remote access technologies and related network security platforms.

Job Details (Required Skills):

Responsibilities

·         Respond quickly and effectively to network security issues and outages.

·         Plan, design, build and install new network security capabilities based on internal requirements. 

·         Perform system maintenance and upgrade tasks. Automation of maintenance, upgrade through scripting

·         Use/Configure network security monitoring tools proactively to address capacity, performance and availability issues before service degradation occurs.

·         Maintenance of technical documentations, network diagrams, processes and procedures used throughout normal operations.

·         Participate in troubleshooting and escalation processes.

·         Provide technical leadership to junior team members.

·         Prepare high quality accurate technical solutions, designs, and documentation for internal consumption by 2nd/3rd line support

·         Contribute to strategy discussion within the team

·         Identify and make recommendations on improvements to Network & Security services

Desired Qualifications, Experience & Skills

·         Strong communication skills

·         Highly competent at configuration and troubleshooting of network security products such as firewalls

·         Excellent Checkpoint skills including VSX and Multi-Domain

·         F5 LTM, APM or any additional modules will be a benefit

·         LAN experience including NAC

·         Experience with deploying and operating DDoS services

·         Familiar with Cloud security platforms such as ZScaler

·         Multiple firewall vendor experience

·         CCSP, CCSE or any relevant qualifications

·         Ability to methodically troubleshoot a complex technical issue using tools such as WireShark and TCPDump on network devices and/or various servers.

·         Adhere to ITIL best practice procedure in relation to all aspects of change and configuration management

·         Own problems and escalate to external vendors as required

·         Experience of network management tools.
