Atkins is currently seeking a highly motivated self-starter to join our Richland, WA Energy Team as an Operator 4.
Job Description:
Operator 4 in Richland, WA Performs a wide range of facility, equipment and machine operations associated with an Atkins site/program/ project/function and or facility process(es).
Complies with Atkins policies and procedures and with local, state and federal regulations.
Performs operations work as part of a team of semi-skilled and skilled workers (e.g., laborers; decontamination workers; and facility, equipment and process operators).
Operates a variety of equipment: (1) hand and power tools; (2) small, fixed-facility (light) equipment; (3) medium weight equipment; (4) processing systems and (5) hoists.
Performs work to Operating Plans, Procedures and Instructions as well as expectations set forth in Conduct of Operations/Testing.
Sets, monitors and adjusts process conditions such as flows, temperatures and pressures – locally in the field or from a remote control station – to meet processing goals and data quality objectives.
Completes Operations related Logs and Data Collection Forms
Collects samples of materials/products for laboratory analysis.
Tests samples to determine properties such as viscosity, yield stress or degree of concentration.
Participates in procedure development and revision, job hazard analysis and safety walkdowns as applicable.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Valid driver’s license with a clean record required.
Evidence of insurability required.
A minimum of 12 months of related experience in industrial operations.
A minimum of 6 months experience in controlling processing systems from local HMIs and from remote control stations.
Strong listening skills.
Normal vision (with or without correction).
Strong interpersonal skills and team player attitude.
Ability to read computer screens and operate Human Machine Interface (HMI) controls.
Ability to comprehend procedure and work package instructions as applicable.
Ability to perform physically demanding work.
Ability to lift up to 50 lb and wear a respirator.
Strong attention to detail.
Detailed knowledge of facility processes, operations and equipment.
Education/Experience:
High School diploma or GED
