Process Engineer - MEP Team - Epsom

Atkins Mechanical, Electrical and Process (MEP) Practice have teams across the UK supporting a variety of clients across the Water sector. The team work on both UK and international work and have a good record of securing new clients and positions on major frameworks.

We have an opportunity to appoint a Process Engineer into our Epsom MEP Team. This is a great opportunity for a Process Engineer, either a Chartered Engineer or approaching Chartered-status, to join our forward-thinking team and contribute to the success of our MEP Practice.


Responsibilities
• Feasibility, outline and detailed process design work
• Working with and developing process tools such as mass balances and process flow diagrams
• Be proficient in the development of design solutions for clean and wastewater applications
• Technical report writing
• Develop opportunities through close liaison with both internal and external Clients
• Production of cost estimation and input into bidding activities

Requirements
• Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartered Engineer status
• Demonstrable experience of a process engineering role within the water engineering sector
• Experience in a consultancy environment
• Proven understanding of the design process and ability to demonstrate working knowledge of brief/scope documents, design concepts as well as some experience technically i.e. calculations
• Good client-facing skills and commercial awareness
• Experienced in production of PFD’s, P&ID’s, Mass and Energy Balances
• Basic understanding of hydraulics and ability to produce hydraulic profiles
• Agile and flexible as required by clients and projects

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary it will be discussed with you at interview.
