The FP&A senior analyst will play an important role as part of the corporate Financial Planning and Analysis team.  The senior analyst will design, build and prepare different reports and presentations to analyze the results and performance of the company and its various business units, and be involved in the entire financial reporting cycle, including budget, month-end, quarter-end, and quarterly forecasting exercises. The analyst will also have the opportunity to participate in the implementation of a new global planning and consolidation system.

Responsabilties:

  • Analyze the financial results and performance of the company and its various business units, investigate variances, understand drivers and identify risks and opportunities
  • Participate in the consolidation, financial statement preparation, and internal performance reporting processes, including preparing reports and presentations for the senior leadership team
  • Design and develop financial models and reports to improve the forecasting and reporting processes
  • Use market data to benchmark the company’s performance compared to our competitors
  • Analyze and consolidate financial forecasts and budgets
  • Work closely with the global business units to ensure the integrity and reliability of the financial and operating results for both reporting and forecasting purposes
  • Participate in the design, testing, and implementation of new features and enhancements in the new global planning and consolidation system (Hyperion)
  • Coach more junior team members, developing and leveraging their skills to deliver projects as described above, and review other financial analyses they are responsible for
  • Participate in other projects as necessary

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of commerce with major in finance or accounting
  • 5-7 years relevant work experience, preferably in a large accounting firm or large multi-national environment
  • Fluent in French and English, written and spoken
  • Knowledge of Hyperion and PBCS (an asset)
  • Intermediate Excel skills (an asset)
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, demanding environment

  • Self-motivated, independent and ability to execute
