Role Summary/Objective
The Senior Human Resources Advisor is responsible for performing
HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR
management in supporting UAE based employees of the business. We expect the
successful candidate to work in close partnership with the business to deliver
people related solutions to business challenges.
This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional
areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management,
compensation, training & development, policy implementation, employment and
labour law compliance, on-boarding and benefits administration.
This is an exciting and challenging role, utilizing expert skills and
knowledge to deliver a breadth of service that spans a diverse range of
operational HR activities.
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve
as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department and the business.
This is a full-time position based in Abu Dhabi. Travel to Dubai and
Sharjah 2 times a week and regionally is required for this position to ensure
appropriate services are provided across the UAE, and contribute to the Middle
East region’s HR projects.
Responsibilities
1.
Provides counselling and
advice to employees and managers around employee relations, performance,
compensation, disciplinary, retention and complex personnel related matters.
2.
Performs various human
resource plans and procedures for organization personnel; assists in the
development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
3.
Participates in employment
terms administration, including verifying the intended change, seeking
authorizations and working with HR shared services to execute the changes.
4.
Provides support and
guidance to employees and managers regarding learning and development
opportunities, career development and progression, and capability enhancement.
5.
Works collaboratively with
all HR centres of expertise to deliver specialist advice and services.
6.
Recommends new approaches,
policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and
services performed. Assists in evaluating, developing and implementing
processes that lead to improved results.
7.
Seeks out best practice,
shares ideas and networks with colleagues to ensure consistency and a value
adding service.
8.
Compiles reports from the
database in the form of HR dashboards and ad hoc data-driven analyses. Assists
in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to
established goals.
9.
Manages and delivers HR
programs and projects as directed.
10. Maintains compliance with local employment laws and regulations.
Essential Criteria
HR Expertise
·
Proven working experience
as a HR advisor with demonstrable, relevant experience in a human resources
capacity, gained within a complex organization, preferably within the
professional services sector.

Demonstrable experience in
the delivery of generalist HR processes.
·
In-depth knowledge of
fundamental HR regulations and applications.
·
Proactive in developing and
effectively introducing alternatives to current HR practices as appropriate.
·
Program and project management skills with the
ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Required Education
and Experience
·
A bachelor's degree and
three to five years of HR experience;
·
Or a master's degree in HR
management or related field and two years of experience in the HR field;
·
Or seven years of
experience in the HR field.
·
CIPD certification is an
asset.
