Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Orlando, FL Engineering Group as a Senior Telecommunications Designer.

 
 
MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE
 

Provides design, production and coordination of construction plans and drawings in support of engineering or architectural projects. Selects and recommends design procedures. Checks and reviews the design work of less experienced junior professionals and designer.

 
 
JOB DUTIES

  • Work involves analytical ability to select and recommends design procedures, interpret complex ordinances and specifications, analyze design requirements and provide design solutions. 



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • B.S. in Engineering, Architecture or equivalent technical discipline plus fifteen years’ experience, or Associate’s degree plus a minimum of twenty years’ progressive drafting and design experience, including at least twleve as a Designer, or HS diploma plus twenty five years progressive drafting and design experience, including at least fifteen as a Designer.
 
 
SPECIAL SKILLS
 
  • AutoCAD experience strongly desired.
  • Good technical writing a communication skills.
 
 
PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS
 
  • No professional registration is required; however, incumbent should be seeking applicable registration if movement onto the Engineering or architecture career path is contemplated.
