Within Atkins’ Aerospace and Defence market team, we have formed a new Strategic Pursuits Group (SPG). The SPG is focussed on looking ahead at key areas of potential strategic opportunity for Atkins so that we can spot these early and help shape the opportunity and ourselves so that we can successfully secure the opportunity.
The role:
Working with the wider team:
• Develop our strategic view of the defence and aerospace market and within that the identification and qualification of strategic opportunities
• Plan and execute capture strategies, working with the team to maximise our ability to ultimately secure the strategic opportunities
• Implement, manage and evolve the plan and the strategy
A particular area for initial focus for the role is in the area of defence and aerospace cyber. We have seen substantial growth in our defence cyber business which has resulted from a successful strategy of focus and investment over the last 2 years. We now wish to capitalise on this and extend our growth into other areas of defence and aerospace cyber, aligned with our wider strategy for cross-sector cyber growth. This will involve, working with the wider team to:
• Establish the strategy and plan for our next phase of defence and aerospace cyber growth
• Implement, manage and evolve the plan and the strategy, including direct client engagement through visits, events, Atkins projects
The role will initially be UK focussed but opportunity to expand the role to include other geographies is a possibility as Atkins looks to expand its Defence and Aerospace business globally. The role will be UK based.
This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary it will be discussed with you at interview
