Technical Director, Geotechnical

Responsibilities:

• Control and management of the whole life cycle of the projects in the Geotechnical Team
• Working within a multi-discipline team of engineers, technicians and other professionals to develop engineering designs from concept to detailed design and specifications
• Liaise with Clients in relation to project progress, decisions and changes to ensure deliverables are met and produced on time and budget
• Be a team leader to develop and grow the team with P&L responsibilities 
• Attend design meetings, site meetings and all other project related meetings
• Responsible for business proposal/tendering and commercial negotiations
• Seek for business opportunities across APAC regions proactively

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with professional qualification in Civil / Geotechnical Engineering or other related disciplines
• Membership of HKIE (G) or other equivalent professional bodies
• Solid experience in the management of Landslip Prevention and Mitigation Programme or similar projects is highly preferred
• Registered Geotechnical Engineer (RGE) qualification is an advantage
• At least 12 years’ experience post qualification experience in design / construction management of Geotechnical works
• Good interpersonal and technical skills and the ability to delivering schemes to a high technical standard on time and within budget
• Strong communication skills and confidence to liaise and develop long term relationships with clients to ensure the commercial and technical success of projects
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage
