Mission Statement:
Leads the development and preparation of high quality and comprehensive technical offers in the Transport Segment with primary focus on rail traction power systems. Provides inputs on technical concept and define technical requirements.

Role Outline:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Tender Engineering Manager within the Transport Segment team of Linxon. In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible to develop technical concept and define technical requirements of the project in line with functional requirements. The successful candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary team and will be responsible to develop technical solutions.

Main Accountabilities:
The position of Tender Engineering Manager, Transport Segment will have a variety of responsibilities including, but not limited to:
• work with Sales and Tendering team to develop technical concept and contribute to supplier setup. Provide technical queries to client and tender documentation, list of deviations and as well as estimation of engineering cost and BOQ for material.
• work with Supply Chain team to Specify components and define technical requirements with suppliers.
• Give input and recommendation to project management and supply chain for selection and contracting of suppliers and sub-contractors, declare release for production for external content.
• Give input to scheduler for project planning related to engineering, suppliers, document schedule, and required document approvals, take responsibility for on-time delivery of complete scope.
• Prepare Inspection and Test plan incl. definition of test procedures, attend FAT where required document approvals, take responsibility for on-time delivery of complete scope.
• Act as technical expert and Contribute to design development, design risk and mitigation and value engineering.
• Assist in developing project engineering plans, interfacing with customers, and overseeing vendors in order to ensure that engineering plans are developed in accordance with contract specification, quality standard and safety requirement.
• Provide in a timely manner all necessary information to support the Linxon risk and approval process in accordance with Linxon policy.

Essential Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent with Minimum 8-12 years’ experience and around 5-8 years’ experience in system engineering of power supply in transportation sector.
• In depth professional experience and knowledge of power supply systems in transportation segment.
• Experience of performing various simulation studies and arriving BOQ based on these studies.
• Good knowledge of MV/DC /LV technologies.
• Knowledge of various railway standards and regulations.
• Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work with cross-functional and cross-border teams as well as to cope with a flexible-load environment.
• Availability for potentially extensive international travel
• Fluent in English with have good communication skills.
