Atkins is an award winning and market leading international consultancy. Our Landscape Architects and Urban Designers have unrivalled experience in design and environmental assessment. We are one of the largest landscape practices in the UK.

 

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Assistant Landscape Architect to join our Epsom based Landscape and Urban Design team that leads a diverse and expanding portfolio of environment and sustainability focussed high profile private and public sector city and infrastructure projects in UK and overseas.

 

Working in a multi-discipline environmental team, this role would Qsuit those with a qualification in Landscape Architecture, with landscape design skills and an interest in/experience in LVIA supporting project delivery from feasibility through to construction.

 

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate innovative design ideas, high quality presentation and communication skills, and confidence in undertaking site surveys and writing technical reports. It is important that they enjoy working in a stimulating multi-discipline environment and are capable of providing sound landscape advice and solutions.

 

The role requires proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge of 3-D software packages as well as BIM compliant packages including Revit & Vectorworks would be an advantage.



Requirements:

Degree/Diploma in Landscape Architecture and a Graduate Member of the Landscape Institute;

Relevant experience in:
• Landscape character assessment, environmental site appraisal, and site planning;
• LVIA in accordance with the latest best practice guidance, planning process and EIA;
• Landscape Design, supporting project delivery from feasibility through to detail design and contract documentation to site supervision;
• Working in a multidiscipline environment.
• Technical knowledge, high quality presentation and communication that includes:

Excellent written skills;
Competence in AutoCAD and the use of Adobe software packages. 3-D visualisation i.e.SketchUp an advantage. As well as an understanding and interest in BIM related packages.
• Fluency in English;
• Current driving licence (essential);
• Familiarity with working in a QA environment (desirable).
