We are currently looking for a Deputy Project Controls Director for our Project Delivery Office based in Al Ula. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing team on high profile projects within in Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities
This role will have full oversight and line management authority of the Planning, Risk, Document Controls, Change Management and Reporting functions to provide senior level coordination and direction, with a specific focus on Asset/Infrastructure coordination and integration, in order that the following key elements are achieved:
Act as primary point of contact for Client for schedule, risk, change, document control and reporting matters.
Advise the client on all aspects of planning, schedule, and project control according to best industry standards.
Conduct executive level presentations to the client management team to brief on the status of the Program, individual projects.
Provide strategic planning for the programme with respect to high-level milestones and critical path.
Provide direct oversight and direction to planning/scheduling, risk management, document control and reporting.
Review of Risk Reports including QSRA-PERT analysis.
Effectively communicate the Integrated Program schedule to all stakeholders.
In support of the Program Controls Director, work with associated teams to develop, periodically review, and improve project controls processes and procedures, with a specific focus on Asset/Infrastructure coordination and integration, to be adopted across the Programme to achieve a consistent and coordinated approach, including:
Planning structure approach for PDO and PMC
Development of WBS and activity codes
Performance monitoring and reporting
Input into the Programme Management Information System (PMIS)
Risk Management
Asset/Infrastructure Integrated Master Schedule Management
Lead effort to analyse all Asset/Infrastructure schedule related data, identifying issues and opportunities and provide solutions to ensure all Program schedule objectives are met.
Generate and implement methods for gathering and interpreting pertinent project information with analysis focused on identifying and mitigating or resolving negative impacts.
Liaise with cost management team to integrate cost and schedule data.
Attend weekly and monthly meetings with Client and other stakeholders.
Reporting - Interface and challenge PMC’s, Contractors and Design Consultants on their reports. Evaluate and escalate where necessary areas of concern, notifying the Client and other Stakeholders through Notifications/Memos, etc.
Develop and monitor Program KPIs.
Responsible for ensuring all associated Asset/Infrastructure Schedule Management, Reporting, and Project Documentation Maintenance activities, are carried out in in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsible for monitoring the performance of projects and conducting health checks based on cost and time.
Mentor/support Project Controls teams as required.
Key Requirements:
Minimum 20 Years experience including 10 years PgMC/PMC Managerial experience on similar projects.
Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Construction Management.
5 years Middle East experience preferred.
Must have previous experience on large scale Infrastructure projects.
Must have a consultant and/or client background for a minimum of 5 years, preferably in a PMO/Program Level.

Fluent in English (read, write and speak).
Project management acumen.
Arabic speaking is an advantage but not essential.
Digital-savvy candidates preferred.
