Assistant Procedure Writer Intern

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Assistant Procedure Writer Intern to join our Oak Ridge, TN (Isotek) office.

Our Internship Program, Explore, is designed for college students pursuing a degree in a STEM field and provides opportunities to learn what it’s like to work in a professional environment and apply what’s learned in class to the real-world challenges we face every day.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Stops work without fear of reprisal for unsafe conditions potentially affecting personnel safety or environmental risk.
• Assists in developing procedures in accordance with project requirements.
• Assist in conducting research and degerming effective implementation methods and strategies from technical manuals, policies, vendor specifications, plan documentation and diagrams, design information, interviews, walkdowns, writer guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Assists in creating, modifying or upgrading work standards, instructions and procedures to support daily work and change requests for work practices.
• Assist in tracking procedures revision progress and coordinates with reviewers to incorporate/resolve comments.
• Supports the execution of Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) guiding principles and core functions and the Isotek Safety Culture.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• EXPERIENCE: None
• EDUCATION: Must have completed 30 hours towards a related degree from an accredited college/university by the start of the internship (Summer 2025).
• SPECIAL SKILLS: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office. Basic communication, verbal, and written skills.
• PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS: None
