Our Networks & Drainage Engineering team is one of the largest in the UK with clients that include utility companies, local government and authorities and independent businesses. We are currently seeking staff at all levels to join our team based in Belfast.

They should be able to work at an appropriate level and to work to technical, programme and budget requirements.

Requirements:

Degree in Civil Engineering (but will consider other disciplines or qualifications depending on experience).
Appropriate experience of engineering/modelling work in the Water Sector (other relevant experience will be considered)

Desirable (Dependent on role):

AutoCAD/Civils 3D
Experience of civils design of wastewater and drainage infrastructure and non-infra assets
Micro-drainage
Infoworks
Awareness NEC Contracts
Understanding of H, S & W Issues in the industry including CDM

Other Desirable:

Capable of operating in or leading project teams and working collaboratively
Analytical skills/data analysis
Report writing (Depending on role)
Familiar with Sewers for Adoption
Experience of Highway Drainage Design
Experience of NEC Contracts
An understanding of UK water industry.

Responsibilities (depending on role):

Creation of high quality deliverables: drawings, reports, calculation etc
Creating/reviewing Technical Drawings, Calculations models etc
(Contract and Financial Management Grade 10+)
Interfacing with clients on projects.
Mentoring of junior staff.
Contributing towards technical innovation.
Compliance with Atkins Health and Safety Policies and Procedures

Training:

Atkins develops individuals through appropriate on the job training and development courses designed to help individuals make the best of their abilities and talents. These are reviewed with individuals through an annual appraisal process. We actively support staff in achieving corporate membership of relevant Institutions.

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary it will be discussed with you at interview.
