In 2019 the UK became the first major economy in the world to pass laws to end its contribution to global warming by 2050. The UK has committed to an Industrial Decarbonisation strategy including adopting Carbon Capture, Hydrogen & fuel switching as well as the need to develop a new energy storage solution. Our ambition is to take a leading role in Industrial Decarbonisation in the UK as well as working with wider organisation to develop our global client base.

CCUS and Hydrogen is a high growth sector working within Atkins Realis Project & Programme Services with a diverse client base covering major energy companies as well development organisations. We are supporting clients with Front End Development activities as well as during the execution of major projects and programmes.

This role is for someone who can lead relationships with our existing as well as new clients.

Key Account Manager – CCUS & Hydrogen.

Are you passionate about helping our clients to decarbonise their new and/or existing assets and enabling a significant reduction in GHG emissions.

Do you have experience in industrial sectors, whether oil, gas, chemical, power or process? with a technical or projects background with a focus on winning work and customer relationships.? If so, you might be the perfect candidate we are looking for!

We have a position that is ideal for someone who wants to make a difference and be part of a growing team. The real potential exists for career development including moving into a client Director role in the medium team.

This is a senior position so our ideal candidate would be able to identify customer needs and be passionate about exceeding client expectations.

Outline Responsibilities:

• Leading our delivery and relationships with clients whether internal or external.
• Work with other business units to pursue opportunities including developing proposals as well as supporting or leading the tender process.
• Identify best practice across Atkins Realis and build value propositions for our clients including driving a digital agenda.
• Work with our practices to identify, secure and deploy resources who are suitably qualified and experienced to work in what is a highly regulated industry.
• Provide great employee experience for our colleagues working withing our sector.

What You Can Bring:

• Ideally someone with CCUS & Hydrogen projects experience however as minimum a background including oil, gas, chemical or power sectors.
• Technical or Projects background including to a senior manager level.
• In depth knowledge of project lifecycle ideally the FEL gate process.
• An inspiring leader, known for your principles with sector knowledge.
• Passion to learn in what is an emerging sector.
• Excellent communicator, collaborator, and influencer.
• Ideally a Chartered Engineer or Project Manager however other backgrounds/accreditations will be considered with training and support being provided.
