Business Development Manager / Program Manager
Our Washington DC team is growing! This role will be responsible for maintaining a primary focus on the creation of and securing business opportunities that ultimately result in meeting the established sales targets in the Corporate Real Estate and Federal Government business sectors of Faithful+Gould in the Washington DC regional marketplace. The  secondary focus will be on project management practice related services including senior level guidance and leadership of the delivery of client projects

Responsibilities:
Primary / Business Development

- Takes a lead role in the identification and development of strategic accounts.
-Grows long-term relationships with clients and key consultants to capitalize on equity and partnership opportunities.
- Maintains/enhances territorial contact network (both public and private) through regular calls and/or visits to lead the local sales effort in both primary geographic target areas and specific client targets.
-Identifies new business opportunities for the firm, oversees and participates in project/program presentations to clients and other external groups, and promotes firm's capabilities, marketing its services among existing and prospective clients.
-Explores business opportunities with new clients and areas, through cold calls or letters of interest; identifies prospects, screens project opportunities, and schedules contacts, visits, information gathering and follow-up.
-Coordinates and reviews all aspects of proposal development with marketing personnel, including proposal strategy, marketing strategy and team composition.
-Develops presentation strategy, support materials and visuals; coordinates and critiques rehearsals and presentations.


Secondary / Program Management
-Directs project/program team compliance with contract terms; monitors subcontractors' progress, performance and compliance with contractual commitments; participates as necessary in contract dispute resolution and litigation concerning project/program performance, administration and other liability issues; reviews and approves subconsultant and vendor invoices, and resolves payment disputes.
-Monitors schedules, billing and reports; ensures appropriate charging of manhours, costs and expenses to projects/programs; assists as necessary in obtaining payment from clients; resolves client disputes and adjusts billing records as required; communicates project/program progress/status to senior management and alerts them of project/program production, quality control or financial performance problems.


Requirements
-Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture or a construction-related field of study is highly desired. Graduate degree preferred. Management coursework and/or MBA a plus. This level may be achieved with a minimum of ten years of experience in project production and technical professional activities, a minimum of four of these working as a project manager.
-Experience must include a minimum of 3 years with a proven track record of business development and sales in the Washington DC regional Corporate Real Estate and Federal Government market sectors.
-Excellent interpersonal skills plus written and oral communications skills are essential. Proven public speaking and persuasive ability. Outgoing, self-starter with innate sales orientation, optimism and drive; good organizational skills.
-Strong capability with Information Technology in the performance of work including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
-Must possess a thorough understanding of Project Management, Building Design & Construction.
