Our Group Information Services (Group IS) business is made up of digital, user service, technology and project management experts, working across multiple regions. Our teams are supporting close to 20000 people across the Atkins group including those based in offices and working on remote sites with our clients where we partner the business on some of the worlds iconic design and build and infrastructure projects.

Our user services teams are committed to delivering a 24/7, 365 days a year service ensuring we keep our people and projects delivering for clients. This includes service desk, hardware and software asset management and software packaging teams providing the latest technology solutions available to future proof the organisation’s technical ability.

Our technology delivery teams setup and run the IT infrastructure backbone of the organization including network, firewall, storage and unified communications. They enable the global nature of our business, providing seamless connectivity, communication and collaboration capabilities to our employees. This means we can all work collaboratively from anywhere in the world and on any device, using Office 365 and Skype for Business, improving the pace and quality of delivery for our partners and clients

Our applications delivery teams help build, implement, support and sustain the various corporate systems used by the company’s functions and also the numerous digital offerings aimed at improving the efficiency of our internal teams and the value proposition to our clients. Here, we have teams dedicated to innovating, researching and experimenting with new leading edge technology and exploring emerging digital solutions using a combination of Full Stack development, Data Analytics, Digital Engineering, Intelligent Mobility and Digital Asset Management.

SNCL Atkins is currently have an opportunity for BI Developer / Analyst role in Worcester office.

This role is currently being advertised 6 months FTC.

Key Deliverables/Responsibilities

• Evaluates customers’ needs and abilities in order to provide appropriate solutions.
• Provides subject matter expertise for key BI core functions
• Participates in work stream planning process including inception, technical design,development, testing and delivery of BI solutions
• Works on highly complex, cross functional and enterprise IT and business intelligence solutions
• Explores the data and discovers patterns, meaningful relationships, anomalies and
• May perform analysis for a wide range of requests using data in different formats and from various platforms.
• Production of management information
• Proactively recommend improvements and new automated functionality to meet the demands of the business and bring cost and process efficiencies
• Works collaboratively with the Business and GIS interfaces prioritising backlogs as appropriate
• Identifies and provides input to new technology opportunities that will have an impact on the Enterprise wide BI systems.
• Develops best practices for report deployments.

Requirements

• Strong analytics background
• A collaborative and consulting approach, to work in partnership with customers and GIS
• Be able to demonstrate breadth and depth of knowledge in ERP data and the use of an enterprise data warehouse
• Experience in developing reports in Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau, Oracle Business Intelligence or other reporting products.
• Exceptional Excel skills
• Knowledge and Experience within Workday, Oracle, SQL, SSRS and VBA would be advantageous
• Creative thinking coupled with technical knowledge, to help shape solutions
• Be flexible in both their mind-set and working pattern
• Must have the aptitude and desire to learn new competencies and skills.
