SNC-Lavalin Atkins business seeks a Buyer/Property Specialist to join the nuclear team in Oak Ridge, TN.


JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists the Procurement Lead in the day-to-day implementation of the Project’s Procurement Manual and procedures.
  • Responsible for uncomplicated procurements requiring standard documentation.
  • Maintains records for procurements per established Project procedures, filing, etc.
  • Ensures prime contract and Project terms and conditions flowdown provisions as indicated by the Contracts Manager.
  • Tracks all procurements from initial purchase requisitions to finalizing purchase orders and procurement card purchases.
  • Tracks associated shipments and assists the Project’s Operations personnel with receipt of goods.
  • Maintains procurement data for use by the Property Manager regarding tangible property tracking and reporting.
  • Supports the Property Manager in compiling data for government and private property reports.
  • Assists the Property Manager in inventory, assessment, review and audit activities.

 




REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (primarily Excel).
  • Strong communication, verbal and written skills.
  • Proficiency with database software, specifically, Oracle.
  • Must have good organizational skills, with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Quality Assurance standards applicable to Project activities.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Associates degree or equivalent education.
  • Minimum one year of procurement/buying experience desired.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and matter.
  • US citizenship required for Atkins Global Isotek Systems project positions.
