CAD / BIM Designer (Highways)

 

Atkins Global Design Centre (GDC) Transportation Business is looking to appoint resources to support the delivery of complex civil engineering and multidisciplinary designs across a range of major projects.

These positions will be based out of Bangalore or Gurgaon where we have thriving Atkins offices, which deliver to all Atkins regions across the world. Our portfolio of work continues to grow and we will offer a challenging and rewarding opportunity to apply knowledge, experience and problem solving skills.  

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Should be able to develop highways CAD/BIM 3D Models and 2D Drawings to the standards & codes
  • Should be able to review highway deliverable such as Roadway layout, Plan & profiles, Signs & Road Markings, Kerb & footways, Pavement drawings, Setting out details, Typical Cross Sections, Standard details etc.
  • Should have good understanding of OCRA process to deliver the quality product.
  • Should have strong written & verbal communication in English
  • Experience of working in Common Data Environment (CDE) like ProjectWise


Mandatory Requirements:

  • Diploma/Engineer in Civil Engineering
  • 5 to 12 years of experience in highways consultancy business
  • Hands on experience in Autocad or Microstation and Civil 3D.

 

Desirable Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of Infrastructure BIM
  • Ability to produce intelligent / Parametric 3D models and extract information directly from the model to form 2D drawings, schedules, setting out, quantities and other deliverables.
  • Hands-on experience in Highways BIM Platforms such as Autodesk Infraworks and Bentley OpenRoads.
  • Knowledge of AutoLISP or similar
  • Working knowledge of British (UK) Standards
