CAD Technician

We are looking for a talented, ambitious and enthusiastic candidate. They should be curious about the world around them, interested in engineering and always want to learn more.

It is essential for the candidate:-

To have the desire & confidence to create technical drawings of high quality;
To be a team player with creativity, dedication, good communication skills and ability to communicate well with senior engineering staff about project objectives and details;
To be reliable, practical and self-motivated;
To have a good understanding of Civil Engineering;
To be fully conversant in AutoCAD and/or Microstation;
To have the ability and desire to work on a diverse range of projects, to have good organisation skills, and be able to prioritise and manage tasks effectively;
To have the motivation to work effectively as a fully participating member of a busy CAD team within the business;
To be able to work with limited supervision;
To be willing to learn new software.

Desirable criteria
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Microstation
Training will be provided if not familiar with the use of the above software.

Responsibilities
• To provide Engineering drawings which are core to the business and will form part of essential reports, contract documentation and project tenders etc
• To apply and adhere to published CAD standards for Civil Engineering
• Must be flexible and adaptable regarding CAD task programmes with respect to both client & project requirements.
