We are seeking Engineers to join our growing Civil Infrastructure business, based in Epsom, to play a major role in the growth of our business.

This is a great opportunity for Infrastructure Engineers looking to make a real contribution to some of the world’s most exciting and complex engineering projects whilst developing their career within a forward thinking organisation.

You’ll be a near Chartered Civil Engineer with a proven track record of successful delivery of schemes from the master plan stage, to detailed design and completion of construction. You’ll be responsible for the technical direction of our Client’s projects with a natural curiosity for looking at innovative methods of design and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and organisation of projects, including scheduling, cost monitoring and change management
  • Design of sewerage infrastructure, including hydraulics for water and wastewater treatment processes, sewer networks for private developments and the regulated water industry;
  • Provides advice on design specifications, and have practical knowledge of different construction methods
  • Specifying materials and construction methods in design
  • Undertaking site inspection work and giving instructions
  • Civil Engineering design and coordination of site wide utilities infrastructure other sewerage infrastructure
  • Management and technical development of our graduate engineers;
  • Client and stakeholder management;
  • Organising, scheduling, co-ordination and management of other discipline inputs into projects.

 



Requirements
Degree-qualified Civil Engineer;

  • Chartered Civil Engineer or near Chartered (CPR planned over next year);
  • Proven track record in design delivery with specific experience of:
  • Working in a multi-disciplinary environment in AMP schemes (water industry), have practical experience in treatment plant hydraulics, water and waste water treatment processes and governance procedures in the water industry;
  • Developing design flood risk assessments, drainage strategies, and sustainable drainage solutions, from planning to implementation (including CEEQUAL and/or BREEAM experience);
  • In depth knowledge and application of MicroDrainage software, including Flood Flow analysis;
  • Designing sewerage systems to Sewers for Adoption Standards and to Part H of the Building Regulations for public and private Infrastructure;
  • Specifying materials and construction methods in design;
  • Discharging Designer’s duties under CDM regulations;
  • Designing utilities infrastructure and their diversions;
  • Organising, scheduling, coordinating and delivering projects on time and to budget;
  • Designing to planning requirements, design codes and standards;
  • Undertaking site inspection work and giving instructions;
  • Communicating effectively through reports, presentations and verbal means.
  • Having natural curiosity for developing innovative and cost effective solutions for our clients;
  • Coaching, mentoring and motivating others;
  • Being a natural team builder, developing the technical excellence of our growing team.
  • Developing client relationships and ability to win new consultancy work
