As part of our 30-year remit to manage and improve the capital’s orbital motorway network, we deliver major improvement projects, such widening 38 miles of the M25, refurbishing tunnels and bridges, and installing hundreds of variable messaging signs and gantries, helping to maximise the use of the network and deliver more reliable journeys. We also manage the Dartford River crossing, and operate and maintain 440 kilometres of motorway providing our customer and road user with a world-class highway service.

We are currently looking for a Commercial Assistant to join the team working out of our Leatherhead Office.  




Responsibilities –

  •  Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with standard company HSE procedures and work instructions
  • Assist the commercial team in their day to day duties, especially inputting data accurately, preparing contractor and subcontractor certificates, and preparing CPS applications. 
  • Keeping check of subcontract insurances are still valid.
  • Occasionally vesting other depots to help out.
  • Arithmetical checking.
  • Document control for the commercial team
  • The ability to extract cost data from the Company ERP computer systems and present the data in a format that the quantity surveyors require using Excel.
  • The ability to input cost data onto the Company BIW computer systems.
  • Carry out any other relevant duties as required within the Project Delivery Directorate, or as required by their manager.

Qualifications/ skills/ experience -


  • Excellent PC skills specifically in Excel and Word.
  • Organised with a logical approach to work
  • Ability to input data accurately.
  • The following qualities/experience are desirable:
  • Positive attitude.
  • Self motivated
  • A team player with a flexible approach to achieving goals.
  • Ability to plan and organise own time and workload.
  • Enthusiastic and gets on well with work colleagues
