AtkinsRealis are currently looking for experienced Commercial Manager to join our team to work on newly awarded projects across varying sectors and various locations within Qatar for a site-based role. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing team on high profile projects within in Qatar.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre and post contract commercial support

  • Management of bonds, insurances and guarantee logs

  • Review of interim valuations and payment certificates

  • Change Management

  • Review of variations and preparation of recommendations

  • Preparation and review of estimates

  • Assisting in risk and value management and cost control functions

  • Assisting in identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks

  • Assisting in preparation of progress/ cost reports

  • Reporting to Project Director on all commercial issues

  • Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations

  • Attendance and representation at commercial meetings.

Experiences and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying from recognized University

  • Min 15+ years post-contract (change management is essential) relevant capacity in contracts and commercial management

  • MRICS mandatory

  • Experience of managing teams and client facing

  • Measurement and quantification of building and infrastructure works

  • Cost estimating of building and infrastructure elements

  • Must have previous experience of FIDIC Contracts

  • Project experience must be broad and include Hospitality, Residential, Leisure and Infrastructure;

  • Must have consultant and/or client background for minimum of 3 years

  • Must have minimum of 3 years Middle East experience

  • Should be based in Qatar

  • Knowledge in the use of QS software Cost-X or similar is preferable;

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;

  • Possess good project background and proven English language technical writing ability and skills.
