Contract Procurement Manager

We are currently looking for a Contract Procurement Manager to join our team in Saudi Arabia, to provide multi-disciplinary services and expertise to our clients on a wide range of mixed-use development project.

 

Major Function and Role:

  • Develops bid packages for required materials, equipment and other commodity items.
  • Develops Bid Tabulations for received bids and makes recommendations to Project Manager.
  • Implements purchasing procedures for project, monitors cost control budgets, issues purchase orders, monitors progress on orders, tracks actual expenditures and develops forecasts as needed.
  • Analyzes status data and trends as required.

 

Job Duties:

  • Reviews pricing of materials and commodities. Oversees the development of vendor bid packages.
  • Process purchase requisitions / orders within purchasing authority.
  • Invite, assess, and award/recommend supplier tenders, bids, quotations, and proposals.
  • Establish and negotiate contract terms and conditions, and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Review and maintain purchasing records, reports and price lists.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or 5 years relevant site or design office experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required to interact effectively with vendors, sub-consultants and internal management.
  • Analytical skills to determine the best deals for the company, and have to evaluate the many pros and cons of each, based on price, quality, speed of delivery and other factors.
  • Decision-Making skills to use the information gathered by the team and the purchasing agents to make decisions and make recommendations to the company.
  • Negotiating Skills, working with suppliers to create the best deals.
  • No less than 5 years of relevant experience
  • Supply Chain Management professional membership/certification or RICS qualified is preferred.
