SNC-Lavalin is going through an exciting period of change. EDPM is the Engineering, Design & Project Management sector of SNC-Lavalin. We plan, design and enable the delivery of complex projects and major programmes across transportation, energy and infrastructure. Primarily made up of Atkins, including Faithful+Gould, we push boundaries and create value as trusted advisors to our clients and partners.

SNCL Tax currently have an opportunity for a Corporate Tax Manager in our Warrington office, reporting to the Head of UK Compliance & Reporting. 


Job Details

Overview of Key Responsibilities 

• All aspects of UK corporate tax compliance – including but not limited to preparation and submission of UK tax returns, fixed assets/capital allowance review, group claims, controlled foreign company reviews, foreign branch exemptions, corporate interest restriction filings, calculation and administration of UK instalment payments.

• Preparation of relevant IFRS tax accounting disclosures for subsidiary statutory accounts 

• Assistance with tax forecasting

• Monitoring & reporting for the purposes of Senior Accounting Officer regulations
• MTD implementation

• Manage third party relationships with auditors, tax advisers and HMRC

• Opportunity for involvement in ad hoc advisory matters including, transfer pricing, R&D tax claims and aspects of overseas tax compliance.


Experience needed to be successful for this role

• Accountancy and/or CTA qualified

• Demonstrate strong tax accounting knowledge, ideally under IFRS

• Knowledge and experience in UK corporate tax compliance

• IT experienced – strong spreadsheet and data manipulation skills.

• Experience of OneSource tax computational software would be beneficial.
