Customer Address Book and Litigation Administrator

Job Description

This new role is in the offshored team within the Finance Shared Services function of an international engineering & design consultancy company.  The shared services team will be co-located with several hundred fee-earning staff in a professional business environment.   

Key aspects of the role:

  • Responsibility for accurate customer set-up and integrity of customer data
  • Production and basic interpretation of credit reports
  • Monitoring credit scores and advising the business where clients fall into a ‘high risk’ category
  • Undertake administration tasks to support the SSF Litigation Team
  • The role reports into the Cash Allocation & Customer Address Book Team Leader

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Batchelor’s degree


Essential Criteria

  •  Excellent English (spoken and written)
  • At least 3-4 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable
  • Familiarity with credit reports in order to interpret
  • Good understanding of legal entities and company structures
  • Familiar with processing financial transactions in a regconised accounting package
  • Excel intermediate level.  Must be able to complete spreadsheets and maintain data where required
  • Outlook intermediate level required in order to communicate with internal and external customers
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft word

Desirable Criteria

  • Basic understanding of legal processes in a debt recovery environment (litigation, bankruptcy)

Responsibilities

  • Create new client accounts and link to parent company and any other family where necessary
  • •eview customer address book integrity reports and correct any anomalies.
  • Administer the production of credit reports and provide basic interpretation to the Atkins project managers
  • Update all credit scores in JD Edwards daily
  • Update CreditSafe numbers in JD Edwards weekly
  • Communicate with the business where clients move into a ‘high risk’ category
  • Deal with any relevant queries raised by customers
  • Ensure that all tasks are carried out efficiently and to the prescribed standard and timescales
  • Ensure that certain SSF Litigation team processes are up to date and accurately documented
  • Undertake the administration for the SSF Litigation Team including the SSF Legal mailbox

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise confidently with senior personnel across the business
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly with regard to the names of companies and distinguishing between legal entities
  • The ability to use your own initiative when making decisions and reporting to the business during busy periods

  • Task focused
