Design Team Leader- Drainage & Hydrology

We are seeking a design team leader for drainage and hydrology services on transport schemes throughout Ireland. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years experience, must be chartered and have substantial relevant planning and design experience, including in large scale roads projects. The candidate will join our busy Highways and Transportation team to be based in our Cork office. The candidate should be self motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking, flexible, willing to take responsibility and comfortable being a team lead as part of the role.
The role will include leading the drainage and hydrology services for transport schemes around Ireland, including planning and design stages, preparation of EIA, preparation of contract documentation and management of projects for public and private clients.
 

Desirable skills/attributes

• A minimum of 10 years relevant experience in a consultancy environment.
• Educated to degree level (level 8/9 engineering degree).
• The ideal candidate will be Chartered
• Computer literate and able to work effectively work with the basic Microsoft suite of programmes and have a good understanding of MS Project
• Experience within the transport sector, including a detailed knowledge of the DMRB, SUDS and the ability to translate this into workable designs
• Experience in the design of drainage networks, hydrology and flood risk assessments for transport
• projects including large scale roads schemes (preferably in Ireland)
  Full driving licence
