SNC-Lavalin Atkins business seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Engineering Team in Miami, FL as a Electrical Designer.


MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE

Will work with project architects and electrical engineers to create CADD files of construction documents for building electrical projects, while performing basic engineering tasks with increasing responsibility. 



JOB DUTIES

  • Performs computer-aided drafting and design work of considerable complexity. Incumbents at this level are able to work from verbal or written specifications.
  • Perform basic engineering tasks with increasing responsibility.

 



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • Bachelor's degree in  Electrical Engineering with interest in a career building electrical systems or Associate's degree plus a minimum of eight years' progressive drafting and design experience, including at least two as a Designer, or HS diploma (or equivalent) plus a minimum of ten years progressive drafting and design experience. 
  • Must have five or more years of building electrical design and drafting experience.
     

SPECIAL SKILLS
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications.
  • Good math skills are preferred.
  • CADD skills is required.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Experience in Microstation is preferred.
