Engineering Design Opportunities - Nuclear Infrastructure

WE’VE JUST WON ANOTHER MAJOR DESIGN COMMISION AND WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU

SNC-Lavalin’s Atkins business, has been awarded a contract to support the engineering design of buildings within the Nuclear Island at the proposed Wylfa Newydd Nuclear Power Station.

We’re going to be recruiting for a variety of roles and disciplines across a number of our UK offices for our regional technical hubs and we want to hear from you to register your interest in this exciting new project.

The plans to build at least 5.8GW of new nuclear power generation plant at Wylfa on the Isle of Anglesey and Oldbury-on-Severn in South Gloucestershire are being developed by Horizon Nuclear Power. Its power station sites will employ up to 850 people each once operational with a construction workforce expected to peak at 9,000. The contract is part of the huge amount of work underway to support preparation for the delivery of the new plant, for which the Final Investment Decision will be made by Horizon in 2020.
