Our NSW Environmental Services team is expanding! Due to a growing portfolio we now have several opportunities for Environmental Consultants ranging from Graduate level to Senior/Principal Planners.

With support from the broader Environmental team, the Senior/Principal position will be responsible for leading, managing and delivering planning and environmental components of projects.

Senior/Principal Planner requirements:

  • 10+ years’ experience in environmental planning and management in NSW
  • A tertiary qualification in Environmental or Town Planning, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience in delivering planning and environmental approvals relevant to federal, state and local regulations
  • Familiarity with infrastructure projects (rail, road, energy, airports, waste)
  • Experience working in the consulting industry
  • A track record in delivering high-quality work, contributing to a positive team culture and building client relationships
  • Project management of resources and timelines and the ability to manage budgets
  • Strong written and verbal skills and ability to lead and work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Drive to continuously seek innovation and improvement (self, project, strategic)
  • Experience in the following will also be highly regarded:
    • auditing and environmental compliance
    • environmental due diligence assessments
    • environmental feasibility studies
    • planning in Queensland and Victoria
    • construction environmental management
  • A professional association with EIANZ, PIA, APEA, EA is desirable

Graduate Environmental Consultant requirements:

  • Our 2021 Graduate Program is designed for students in their final year, or graduates who completed their studies no earlier than February 2020
  • The Graduate Development Program is a two-year framework, designed to help you grow the skills and knowledge you need to develop your early career and work towards a professional qualification. The program features a series of signature events, core training, professional development, mentoring and on-the-job experience.
  • A tertiary qualification in Environmental or Town Planning, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related discipline
  • Students with Environmental Planning experience will be highly regarded
  • A desire to contribute and succeed as a consultant in the Infrastructure industry.
  • Innovative ideas.

  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal & written.
  • Highly developed problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to drive company culture and lead by example.
