Job Summary
From excellence in engineering design, infrastructure and rail vehicles, to programme management of multi-discipline investment projects, Atkins provides its customers with services covering every aspect of global rail operations
Exciting opportunities now exist for Construction Site Supervisors. These positions will support Akins in the delivery of the civil engineering and construction elements of a range of railway infrastructure projects throughout the UK.

Responsibilities
• Support and facilitate the activities of sub-contractors in the delivery of their work.
• Liaise with others to ensure that the available possession and isolation times are maximised.
• To plan and implement work to satisfy the client expectations in terms of Safety and Quality within the specified budget.
• To ensure installation is carried out to the required quality
• To ensure adherence to company and industry standards
• To supervise teams of Sub Contractors on a daily basis
• Monitoring and improving Safety performance of all sub contractors allocated to the site.
• Ensure site activities are pro-actively managed and that detailed records of all site activities are maintained.
• Reporting regularly to the Contracts Manager highlighting any issues with progress
• Ordering of ETE materials
• Maintain ETE materials storage
• Manage and integrate on-site activities
• Carry out site surveys


Requirements
• Previous supervisory experience is essential. Advantageous if obtained in rail or construction environment.
• Experience of project supervision/supervision of sub-contractors is desirable
• Experience of ETE installation standards is desirable
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation
• Computer Literate, Word, Excel, E-Mail
• Able and willing to drive
• GCSE/ O Level Maths & English (or equivalent)
• Engineering qualifications (i.e. HND / HNC) or equivalent
• Willing to work away from home
