Job Title: HSE Manager - Västeras, Sweden

Shaping energy solutions to empower sustainable connectivity.


We combine SNC-Lavalin’s project management expertise and ABB’s deep technological knowledge to create a company dedicated to substations – we are Linxon.

Linxon is a joint venture company set up by SNC-Lavalin and ABB to turnkey electrical AC substation projects. Linxon will undertake turnkey electrical alternating current substation projects related to renewable and conventional power generation, power transmission and transportation solutions. Turnkey solutions will include project design, engineering, procurement, construction, management, commissioning and after-sales support.

Mission Statement:
The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager within the Linxon Sweden leads and oversees programs and practices to ensure an exemplary health and safety culture as well as a strong focus on the environment. The Sweden HSE Manager ensures that the respective organization operates in alignment with HSE standards and policies as per Linxon's sustainability strategy. Located in Vasteras, Sweden.

Dimensions:
Linxon Sweden are managing projects locally as well as internationally.


Main Accountabilities:
• Maintain full governance structure of HSE within Linxon Sweden
• Ensure that the process for auditing and reporting on HSE into Linxon’s Global Incident Database is rolled out accordingly
• Monitor findings and closure of corrective action within Linxon Sweden
• Ensure respective organizations are compliant with the SNC-L BlueBook and with related legislation
• Ensure HSE risk identification and controls are applied at all stages of the internal value chain
• Drive behavioral change to continuously improve Linxon Sweden HSE through programs, initiatives and trainings as well as engage external / internal stakeholders in order to report on, raise awareness and gain commitment on Linxon’s HSE efforts
• Support local project tender team regarding HSE requirements
• Site support/supervision by means of auditing, inspections and guidance to site HSE personnel

Challenges:
• 30% Travel requirement
• Combination of managerial and hands-on skills

Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
• University level education in a relevant discipline
• 5 years of experience in HSE function ideally in the EPC environment
• Excellent knowledge of general HSE regulatory requirements
• Fluency in English - both written and spoken
• Middle East experience a strong advantage
