Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Atlanta, Gerogia Office as a Landscape Architect.
Major Function/Role:
Under supervision, performs routine assignments in landscape architecture while developing professional proficiency.
Job Duties:
Generally applies standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of various diversified landscape architecture tasks requiring the use of analysis, interpretation, and deductive reasoning.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture. Minimal experience is required of incumbents with a Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture; no experience required with MLA.
Special Skills:
Good interpersonal skills; technical writing and communication skills. Basic computer skills, including basic CAD experience are required.
Professional Registrations:
No professional registration is required.

Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or Master’s degree in landscape architecture, planning or urban design is a plus. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (3-5) years of experience in an integrated landscape
architectural/engineering design environment. Track record of success working on complex projects. Verbal and written communication skills are required. Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment. Intellectual curiosity and ability to think creatively with a thoughtful approach to problem solving. Strong prioritization and organizational skills. Other requirements; In-depth knowledge of 3D Modeling (Sketch-Up), preferred. Fluency in AutoCAD latest version and Adobe Creative Suite, solid hand graphics. Technical proficiency in grading, hardscape, soils, plant materials, and construction detailing. Ability to incorporate sustainability concepts into overall design concepts, LEED accredited professional preferred.
