Logistics, Transport & Trade Specialist

Become part of our dynamic team and take on a central role in the planning, coordination and monitoring of worldwide transports for major projects in Linxon AMEA (Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa) Hub. In this position, you will use your extensive expertise to ensure that our trade activities across the Hub run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for organizing and handling shipments by air, sea, truck, and courier, as well as complying with international trade rules and requirements. Your skills make a significant contribution to ensuring that our projects are completed on time and successfully.

What will you do?

  •  Developing and implementing efficient transportation strategies, including route optimization, carrier selection, and load planning for Cross-border trade.

  • Managing and monitoring all modes of transportation (e.g., truck, rail, air, sea) ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

  • Obtaining and evaluating transport offers as well as checking freight invoices

  • Negotiating rates and service levels with carriers, build and maintain strong carrier relationships with customs regulations global and local.

  • Tracking shipments proactively, identify and resolve potential delays or disruptions

  • Developing and implementing process improvements to streamline logistics operations

  • Planning, coordination and monitoring of transports for major projects by air, sea, truck and courier

  • Gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data related to transportation costs, delivery performance, and inventory levels.

  • Generating reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor supply chain performance.

  • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including carriers, customers, and other departments

  • Ensuring compliance with international trade rules and requirements, including preferential and non-preferential goods origins, export controls, and Incoterms

  • Dispatch and coordination of temporary deliveries.

  • Creation of shipping and customs documents via ERP and other tools (Oracle, Excel, etc.)

  • Maintaining close contacts with internal partners in SCM and project management as well as external interfaces such as freight forwarders, packaging service providers, insurance companies and customs authorities

Experience, Education and other Requirement:

  • 10+ years of experience in relevant industry.

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role in international transport and trade.

  • In-depth knowledge of customs procedures, compliance with trade regulations, preferential and non-preferential origin, and VAT regulations.

  • Experience in SAP (purchase to pay, order to cash) and Transport Management System experience like JDA, Oracle, SAP or desirable.

  • Proactive, solution-oriented and reliable team player with good written and verbal communication skill.

  • Good MS Office skills (especially Excel). Knowledge of Oracle & SAP Ariba is an advantage
