Due to continued success in securing major P3 projects throughout Canada and beyond, we’re looking for an exceptional Maintenance Manager to join our highly successful infrastructure team in the GTHA. Our projects & pursuits range in value up to $6B+ and are with a variety of high-profile clients giving our team a diverse and exciting workload. We are ideally looking for someone who has Rail & Transit, Roads & Bridges and/or Social Infrastructure experience mainly within North America. Someone who has experience with developing structured planned maintenance schedules and can see the big picture for lifecycle project management. How will you contribute to the team?

To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Lead development of and provide effective delivery of maintenance strategies (planned maintenance, and long term planning) across the Infrastructure sector.

  • Develop, review, approve and execute plans, directives and procedures that ensure contractual compliance, regulatory compliance, high levels of system availability and optimized asset lifecycle costs, business governance, and absolute safety.

  • Build and manage a positive relationship with the Infrastructure Services team, internal and external customers and clients, promoting and driving a positive work environment.

  • You will take over the lead for assigned tenders, where required with the help of interdisciplinary supporting team consisting of engineering, project management, legal, commercial and supply chain management.

  • Responsible for the technical assessment of supplier offers, risk evaluation and completeness of proposals.

  • Conduct routine business performance review meetings with the management team to review the performance of the business, implement measure to address issues as necessary, identify potential risks and or opportunities for improvement, review production plans against target, review safety performance and take appropriate actions as necessary.

  • Drive the execution of key strategies and goals as adopted by the Executive Team.

  • Develop, monitor and manage a comprehensive suite of Key Performance Indicators, specific to each key element of the service that ensures a concise understanding of how each function is performing against target, improvement opportunities, areas to focus on and benefits to the business.

  • Support the Major Projects team on complex multi-faceted projects and pursuits.

  • Provide support to Director of BD as required.

Technical:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Preferably with Civil discipline).

  • A 10+ years of relevant experience working on projects within the infrastructure, highways and civil maintenance & rehabilitation sector, preferably from a maintenance review environment

  • A high level of technical competency, particularly related to transit infrastructure, rolling stock and systems.

  • Experience with planned maintenance and project lifecycle management.

  • Experience of both pre-and post-contract project management responsibilities.

  • Skilled negotiator with excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Experience of both public and private sector clients.

  • The ability to manage a project throughout its lifecycle.

  • A good working knowledge of current project agreement and contracts, particularly.

  • A strong understanding of standards, codes and practices relevant to the work.

  • Mid to advanced level of expertise with MS Office, specifically Excel, Project, Word with an ability to quickly learn additional software as required.

  • Familiarity with regulatory environments, labour standards, and occupational health and safety requirements.

  • The ability to effectively chair and minute meetings.

  • A clean driving licence.

  • Ability to obtain reliability clearance status.
