Managing Surveyor

As part of our strategy, Faithful+Gould is looking for a competent and ambitious Managing Surveyor/Associate Cost Consultant to join our Singapore Commercial Management Team.

Reporting directly to the Regional Director & Head of Commercial Management, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and leading a team of quantity surveyors/cost consultants in their delivery of projects across a variety of sectors.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead and grow an existing team and to develop a career with one of the leading international professional consultancies in the industry.

The attributes we would like you to be able to demonstrate to be considered suitable for this senior position are:
• The ability to communicate effectively with staff and stakeholders at various levels
• The inclination to come up with solutions rather than to identify problems
• The ability to foresee risks and to evaluate options for their mitigation
• The ability to lead a team of up to 8 staff with various levels of experience
• Previous experience of having been responsible for the commercial performance of projects, considering fees, staff costs, overheads, expenses, etc.
• The ability and preferably experience of having been involved in business development, bid/proposal management and submissions.

The minimum criteria to be considered for shortlisting are:
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or its equivalent
• Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience of which at least 3 years in Singapore
• Strong technical ability in both pre-contract and post contract stages
• Experience in Mixed-use Developments, Hospitality, Corporate Real Estate/Fit-out, Logistics, Industry or Data Centres
Previous experience with BIM for estimating, take offs, etc. would be considered advantageous.
