The Strategic Highways (SH) Market Leader for Collaboration and Market Intelligence is a critical role supporting the SH Client Directors.  You’ll have the opportunity to enhance our client intelligence offer, support our Key Account Management Teams with intelligence gathering and sharing, and improve the quality of our Client engagement.  This naturally feeds into our business plan and improves our offer within tender submissions. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities to enrich client intelligence by upskilling our KAM community.
  • Use personal and KAM team networks, along with public domain intelligence to support robust competitor analysis.
  • Support ongoing collaboration and client intelligence projects within Strategic Highways.
  • Lead on pan Strategic Highways Client intelligence gathering, developing tools and techniques to enable quality analysis of Client intelligence and feedback.
  • Use behavioral development to identify how collaboration can support better operational working. 
  • Analyse the root cause of operational issues including measuring operational effectiveness of existing processes, considering the whole system including behavioural effects
  • Develop efficient approaches for collating, aggregating and analysing Client feedback and data 
  • Coach teams on the development of excellent Client relationship management, supporting the team on gathering, analyzing and interpreting the feedback and data received.
  • Baseline and grow the Client engagement and collaborative behaviours skills within the market and ensure they are using the tools, approaches and methods to strengthen or Client and industry intelligence to improve our business planning and strategic focus for the coming years.

    Key Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a client focused business and/or business support function
  • Experience of working with clients to gather intelligence on client need and driverables
  • Experienced in embedding new initiatives, and gaining advocates to support in business
  • Preferred but not essential - Experienced in ISO44001 delivery, and creation of collaborative tools, learning and upskilling.    
  • Has trained and coached others (both internal and externally)
  • Ability to build and sustain relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively deal with internal customers; foster open. upward and downward communication within the organization built on mutual respect.
  • Stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage and influence multiple stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Good project management skills (budget, time & resources)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into information which has practical use
  • Result-oriented and has a structured way of working, with a strong focus on result and quality of deliverables.
