Job Overview 

The Material Architect develops material specifications and standards for the project. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, conducting material testing, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.  

                                                                                                                                        

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Develop material specifications and standards for the project. 

  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure material quality. 

  • Conduct material testing and evaluation. 

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements. 

  • Provide technical support to design and construction teams. 

  • Review and approve material submittals and samples. 

  • Conduct research on new materials and technologies. 

  • Prepare and present material reports and documentation. 

  • Manage material procurement and inventory. 

  • Collaborate with other disciplines to integrate materials into designs. 

Qualifications and Educational Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. 

  • Experience in material selection and specification. 

  • Knowledge of construction materials and industry standards. 

Knowledge and Experience: 

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in material architecture. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities. 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Experience with sustainable materials and practices. 

  • Familiarity with material testing methods and standards. 

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
