NEPA Transportation Planner

Atkins is currently seeking a NEPA Transportation Planner to join our rapidly expanding NEPA Transportation group in Atlanta, Georgia.

How will you contribute to the team?

  • Prepares all or part of technical reports.
  • Visits project sites and gathers data.
  • Analyzes zoning requirements, traffic and/or environmental impact of projects.
  • Provides written and graphic input for technical memo, feasibility studies, proposals and project status reports.
  • Coordinates graphic exhibit preparation and/or other portions of a planning project.
  • Coordinates technical work requirements with internal disciplines.
  • Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

What will you contribute?

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Planning or related field. This level may be achieved by Planners with two years experience since Bachelor's or one year since Master's. Typical degreed incumbent has 4-5 years experience.
  • Technical writing, computer and communications skills desired.
  • Ability to process paper/electronic documents and utilize computer equipment; ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing; ability to visit project sites if necessary. Job also requires ability to assemble and analyze data.
  • AICP certification preferred.
