Atkins Nuclear Solutions US is currently seeking a Nuclear Material Control & Accountability (NMC&A) Manager to join the nuclear team in Oak Ridge, TN.

Job Description

 

 

Stops work without fear of reprisal for unsafe conditions potentially affecting personnel safety or environmental risk.

 

Directs development of and oversees the NMC&A programs, administers NMC&A policies and procedures, and performs internal self-assessments.

 

Provides regulatory and policy guidance relative to NMC&A.

 

Develops and revises NMC&A plans and procedures and interfaces with the DOE NMC&A team.

 

Serves as the Nuclear Materials Management and Safeguards System (NMMSS) interface and ensures nuclear material activity is appropriately captured. Serves as the Nuclear Material Representative.

 

Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Supports the execution of Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) guiding principles and core functions and the Isotek Safety culture.

EDUCATION

Minimum Baccalaureate degree (security-related or accounting preferred)

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in NMC&A field

Detailed knowledge of DOE NMC&A requirements as defined in DOE orders, manuals, and standards

Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter

 

 




REQUIRED SKILLS

Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP) and budgeting.

Ability to develop and implement performance tests, performance management, self-assessments and validate program compliance.

Familiarity with nuclear materials controls including but not limited to surveillance, access, inventory sampling, and monitoring.

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Strong verbal communication and written skills.


Due to current law, and in conjunction with the advertised position’s scope of work, candidates that are Non-US citizens are required to be submitted for further approval to the NNSA before being considered for hiring purposes. In addition, any candidates with dual citizenship in the US and another country must undergo further review for approval by the NNSA.
