O&M Superintendent - Thermal Power Plant

Education / Skills and minimum Requirements:
• Degree in Electrical Engineering and completed specific training in Thermal or Energy Engineering;
• Must possess 2- 5 years minimum experience working on Combined Cycle Power Plants;
• Strong Electrical Engineering experience and experience in high voltage is essential;
• Excellent capacity for malfunction analysis and fault finding;
• Experience in operation and maintenance of thermal industry;
• Excellent management skills and the ability to make decisions;

• Must have strong leadership skills and the ability to mobilize teams;
• Previous experience working on international projects an asset;
• Proficiency in French (spoken and written); knowledge of English, an asset;
• Fulfill all requirements for obtaining a work visa.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Deputy Plant Manager and Plant Manager in the management of the Operation and Maintenance, including but not limited to all of the following activities:

• Manage the Operation and Maintenance of the plant and ensure its overall performance;
• Supervising and supporting the team;
• Manage the contract with the client and ensure compliance with all contractual requirements / obligations;
• Prepare and monitor plant operational budget;
• Liaise with customers, local authorities and headquarters;
• Manage, draft and monitor subcontracting contracts;
• Ensure proper execution of health and safety standards;
• Participate in manpower and recruitment activities
• Participate in human resource management of team on site
• Replace the Deputy Plant Manager during his rotation;
