Within the oil and gas division, our operations focus on fixed and floating offshore structures, terminals, refineries, petrochemical plants and subsea pipelines. Having worked on thousands of oil and gas installations around the world, you’ll join a team of over 20,000 experts located in North America, Australia, the Middle East, Europe and the UK. What you’ll be doing and where you’ll be based
We have opportunities for graduates across a range of our Oil & Gas and Offshore Wind teams in the UK. From a Civil or Structural Engineering background, you could be working in one of the following teams, here’s a little about what they do;

Aberdeen - based here as a civil or structural engineer you could be involved in; working with North Sea operators in supporting them in their brownfield modification projects and/or operational support work in their daily production. This is a dynamic environment ensuring that code requirements, production efficiency and safe operations are maintained using innovative approaches to assets which, in some cases are 40 years old, operating efficiently and safely pushing your knowledge and capability to the full extent.

Epsom - Based in Epsom within the Offshore Structural Engineer team you will be working on concept, FEED and detailed design of major offshore assets together with developing innovative solutions for repair and upgrades. Responsibilities include conducting structural engineering, analysis and design work, completion and delivery of engineering consultancy work for all types of offshore fixed structures, ensuring the provision of efficient high quality structural engineering, contributions to proposals, tenders, business and marketing plans and meeting cost and time targets to deliver high quality consultancy services to oil and gas industry clients.

Glasgow & Edinburgh - Based in our Glasgow, Bellshill or Edinburgh office you will find yourself working on projects in the Offshore Engineering markets. Some of our current projects include Asset Integrity work for BP and Repsol in the North Sea, Structural Design for the Beatrice Offshore Wind Farm and Mechanical Integrity assessments for Power Stations in the UK and overseas. We’re looking for candidates who have a keen interest in assessing integrity of aging plant, performing structural & mechanical design and analysis.

Who we’re looking for
You’ll be a talented graduate with a minimum 2.2 Master’s/MEng degree in Civil or Structural engineering.

You’ll have ambition, vision, enthusiasm and the drive to keep on developing your technical skills and achieve Chartered status. With a passion for working in a consultancy environment, you’ll want to work with customers and with teams who deliver to their customers and you’ll be adaptable and happy to cope with uncertainty. Communication and team-working will be your key skills as well as having the ability to apply your technical knowledge to analyse problems and create innovative solutions.
